H. Moser Releases a Very Interesting Watch....The "Swiss Icons" Watch

Picture
CEO - Edouard Meylan

H. Moser , a pretty renowned luxury watchmaker from Switzerland recently announced the release of the Swiss Icons watch for SIHH 2018. Although recent news has came back to me and confirmed it will not be portrayed at the SIHH show in Switzerland this year. The watch features design cues from many different iconic swiss luxury watchmakers. For one, we can see the Rolex GMT "Pepsi" bezel which is integrated into this Panerai styled case which is kind of odd to be quite frank. The Pie Pan dial resembles a Panerai as well whilst the actual integrated steel bracelet looks like something you would see on a Patek Philippe Nautilus. HMC has been known to come out with these exciting and interesting watches each year to grab attention in the world of luxury watches and they seem to be doing a pretty good job as most of the major outlets have covered the watch this past week. Many reactions from different comment boards show mixed feelings about the piece. Some enthusiasts are enjoying this "Homage" design and some are purely disgusted with it. I myself for one do not like the watch at all and it actually looks like a really low grade chinese homage watch. The watch is far from low quality and features a open front Tourbillon with a Panerai style flip open crown lock. The fit and finish is all what you would expect from a luxury swiss watchmaker but the whole design and aesthetic personally steers me away from the idea. Let me know what you guys think about this new release of the H MOSER Swiss Icons watch. I would love to hear back from you guys by leaving a comment in the area below this. Thanks for reading , and please stay tuned as I will be covering SIHH 2018 with all the new hot releases from your favorite swiss luxury watchmakers.

this thing is ugly it just combines one too many themes in one watch , a shame the tourbillon is there because it is a really high end piece.

The main component of a mechanical movement is the mainspring, a spring that gradually unwinds and transmits energy. A mechanical watch will keep accurate time despite requiring winding up if it's manual. ... Inside an automatic watch sits a small weighted rotor that has to oscillate in order to wind the mainspring.
