The Casio Gshock “Mudman” is one of my go to watches when I am doing something involving physical labor or need a watch that can be smashed around while playing sports or swimming , and live to see the end of the day. It is a rather inexpensive watch at only around $80 USD, but I believe it is the best looking and functional Gshock at the $100 pricepoint.Case
The Resin black 52MM matte case might seem large from a measurement perspective but we have to remember the strap is integrated into the lugs. The watch actually wears quite well on my 6.5 inch wrist which was a surprise. The case is shaped differently than most standard Gshock lines and kind of pops out of its circular design at the user. The actual watch is Shock resistant, Mud resistant, and has an awesome water resistance of 200 Meters allowing me to take this watch in any situation involving water. The absence of a crown definitely helps that aspect of the Mudman as well. We get four buttons , two on each side for scrolling through and setting all the cool functions such as Alarm Clock ( 4 ), Stop Watch, World Time ( 48 Cities ), and countdown timer.
