January 2019 - Watch of the Month - Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39MM

Picture
The new Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39MM has to be one of the best value rolex pieces you can buy for $5700 USD from your local authorized dealer. Also, there is no shortage of these pieces making them easier to come by than something like a Submariner or GMT. It comes equipped with the Rolex Caliber 3132 which features a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. Also, just like any other Rolex it is COSC certified and then Rolex certified for timekeeping and consistency. My personal favorite is the black dial variation, but they do make a nice white and blue dial variation for 2019. If this is your first Rolex watch or perhaps your fifth - I do not think you can go wrong with a nice simple, elegant, proportionate 39MM OP.

The main component of a mechanical movement is the mainspring, a spring that gradually unwinds and transmits energy. A mechanical watch will keep accurate time despite requiring winding up if it's manual. ... Inside an automatic watch sits a small weighted rotor that has to oscillate in order to wind the mainspring.
